The Cities You Will Visit
Hanoi  Ha Long Bay  Hue  Danang
Hoi An Ho Chi Minh City

Hanoi -

1,000 years old and the capital of Vietnam, this is a city of peaceful lakes, French styled buildings, old quarter streets, and brightly painted temples and pagodas. With a population of one million, Hanoi could be found to be slow paced, pleasant and even charming. Physically it's a more attractive city than Ho Chi Minh City - there is less traffic, less noise, less pollution, more trees and open space. The people of Hanoi are known for being more reserved - and at the same time more traditionally hospitable - than their southern compatriots.

Ha Long Bay -

This magnificent Ha Long Bay, with its 3,000-plus limestone islands rising from the emerald water, was designated as Vietnam's second UNESCO World Heritage Site. Due to the rock type of Ha Long Bay's islands, the area is dotted with thousands of caves of all sizes and shapes. Ha Long means "where the dragon descends into the sea". The dragon may be legend, but sailors in this region have often reported sightings of a mysterious marine creature of gargantuan proportions known as the Tarasque. It is truly one of the natural marvels of Vietnam.to the imperial government in Beijing.

Hue -

This ancient capital, with its royal citadel, the splendid tombs of the Nguyen Emperors and several notable pagodas, is the perfect place to soak up a traditional atmosphere. Between 1975 and 1990, all the old buildings were regarded as politically incorrect, and everything was left to decay. It was only in 1990 that the local government recognized the tourist potential of the place and declared these sites "national treasures." The complex of monuments in Hue was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The women of Hue are renowned for their beauty.

Danang -

Back in the heady days of the Vietnam War, Daning was often referred to as "Saigon of the North." It was notable for its booming economy, fine restaurants, busy traffic, glittering shops and "entertaining the military" - bars and prostitution. Liberation arrived in 1975, promptly putting a sizable dent in its nightlife. Today, Daning is the fourth largest city in Vietnam.

Hoi An -

This original Cham seaport was one of South-East Asia's major international ports during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. It has been influenced for centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. Its tranquility and charm make it one of the most delightful places in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City -

The largest city in Vietnam, it is the center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism. With a population of four million officially, it has 30% of the country's manufacturing output and 25% of its retail trade. Explosive growth is making its mark in new high rise buildings, joint-venture hotels and colorful shops. The downside is the sharp increase in traffic, pollution and other urban ills. In this vibrant and bustling city, you can witness how ancient cultures meet the modern world.
